Below are some Frequently Asked Questions regarding Lengths by CJP & hair extensions. No question is too silly, so feel free to ask anything you are unsure of during your consultation or reach out using the links on our Contact Us page.


WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

I have a home-based salon in Writtle, Chelmsford. There’s convenient on-road parking nearby, and the nearest train station is Chelmsford. The full address will be included in your booking confirmation.

Are the extensions made from real hair?

Yes, both hair extension brands I use are 100% ethically sourced human hair. This ensures your extensions look completely natural, blend seamlessly with your own hair, and feel soft, comfortable, and easy to style.

What is the cost?

The best way to know the cost of your hair transformation is by booking an in person consultation, however you can also find costs on our Fresha page

How do I book and secure a fitting appointment?

You can book your consultation through the Fresha app. During the consultation, we’ll discuss your options and find the best method for you. To secure your fitting appointment and order your hair, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required, which can be paid via bank transfer or a secure payment link. The remaining balance is then due on the day of your appointment.

How do I look after my extensions?

Don’t worry – you’ll receive a full aftercare guide after your fitting, but here are some golden rules to keep your extensions looking their best:


  • Wash with professional hydrating shampoo and conditioner to keep the hair healthy
  • Oil hair daily and hair mask once a week
  • Brush gently with an extension-friendly brush to avoid pulling
  • After washing, always dry your hair, especially the roots thoroughly to maintain the extensions

How can I pay? Do you offer payment plans?

I accept cash, bank transfer, and all major credit/debit cards. While I don’t offer formal payment plans, many clients choose to pay by credit card so they can spread the cost in a way that suits them.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes - a 50% non-refundable deposit is required, which can be paid via bank transfer or a secure payment link.

Should I be nervous of hair extensions?

It’s completely normal to feel a little nervous before your first appointment. During your consultation, I’ll talk you through all your options in detail and explain the aftercare step by step, so you know exactly what to expect. There’s no pressure to book—you can take your time to decide. No question is too silly, so feel free to ask about anything that you’re unsure of.
